is up. totally out of tune. let's check out the latest news in energy and metals with sharon epperson at the nimax. >> traders on the nimax floor say they don't want to stick their necks out right now not ahead of the weekend not knowing what will happen with the u.s. budget resolution. there's too much uncertainty here and that's a big reason why you are looking at basically flat prices across the board in the energy complex. we're looking at oil prices basically in a holding pattern here under the 88.50 level for wti crude and around 110 for brent crude price. when you look at what's happening in oil prices over the course of the week, we're where we are a week ago and cliff on and cliff off talks keep traders with little incentive to trade the flat price. in terms of gold market, we're looking at the february contract here as the most active contract for gold and there we have seen a lot of price action in the gold market this week. we've seen record volume here at the cme in terms of the gold trade. prices right in the middle of the range they've been trading in around the 1725 ma

sarda bonvehi representing the company. huge step toward energy independence and a big bird to russia. one big problem. the company doesn't know anything about it. turns out that jordy doesn't actually work for that company. he's the bald gentleman in this shot. take a good look at this guy. we don't know what his real name is. it appears he's a con man who was able to get through multiple rounds and rounds and rounds of negotiations and a televised appearance for a $1 billion deal without detection. i mean, that's kind of incredible. you have got to give the guy that. in fact, on the surface, this seems like a mirror image of one of the most infamous swindles in history, when victor lustig posed as a corrupt government official and sold the eiffel tower to scrap metal companies. back then, he got money. he got the money from sales and additional political bribes. years later, he even pulled a scam on al capone. yes. he swindled al capone out of $5,000 of money. adjust that for inflation. to quote bill clinton, that takes a lot of brass. and a lot of smarts, which is something that ou

energy companies connected to the keystone pipeline, i mean what we're seeing is basically has all the hallmarks of a tough confirmation battle before her name has been put into nomination. she's effectively fighting this daily drip of revelations and research that's being dug up about her as she tries to get herself on an even keel not knowing whether the president will put her name in. it's a tough situation. >> when you look at this also, there are other things in play, they're thinking about recognizing the syrian opposition, bilateral talks to try to test the resolve of the ayatollah and see if they can negotiate something with iran. a lot of foreign impediments to this domestic agenda. >> no question. and i think hillary clinton is saying she's willing to stick around for a while longer just to see a successor confirmed. i wonder whether she's going to have to make good on that pledge. this hey have to drag out longer than the white house had planned. >> we have to leave it there. mark, margaret and chris, thanks so much. up next, a new strategy for the fight against autism.
